OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

AT EPIC PLASTICS, protecting people and the planet is at the core of everything we do. As a leader in
recycled plastic landscape edging, we are dedicated to responsible manufacturing and product design.
Our systems meet rigorous industry standards and are trusted by thousands of communities,
organizations, and homeowners. We have earned our reputation by actively listening to and supporting
our customers.

WHAT WE DO USE:
We only use high-density polyethylene recycled material (HDPE) that has been processed and
repurposed after its initial use. HDPE is a versatile plastic commonly used in products like milk jugs,
detergent bottles, and plastic bags. When these products are recycled, the HDPE material is collected,
cleaned, melted down, and transformed into new products, reducing the need for virgin plastic and
promoting sustainability.

WHAT WE DON’T USE:
PFAS are a group of man-made chemicals that have been used in various industries and consumer
products since the 1940s. Thousands of different PFAS exist, some of which are more widely used and
studied than others. Research suggests that exposure to certain PFAS may cause adverse health
effects, though studies are still ongoing to understand the risks, particularly from long-term, low-level
exposure, especially in children.

PFAS Restrictions in the U.S.
PFAS are not banned at the federal level in the U.S., but several states have enacted bans or
restrictions on products containing PFAS, including firefighting foams, food packaging, and consumer
goods. These laws vary by state in terms of which products are affected, when the bans take effect, and
which chemicals are regulated. While the EPA has begun phasing out certain PFAS chemicals, there is
no comprehensive federal ban on all PFAS compounds.
